“ This is my new favorite dim sum place, I really like the shrimp rice roll, the chive and shrimp dumpling, the truffle fried rice, the xo turnip cakes, the garlic fried chicken wings and calamari. The service could be a little better cause most of them only speak Chinese but with some hand motions we were able to figure it out. Most of the ladies don't speak English but some of the guys do. The place is very fancy and it's surprising when you walk in. I wanna go with a big group so we can get more stuff. ”
“ I first learned of Bar Harbor when I attended a Yelp Elite event there last month. When a friend requested a recommendation for delicious dim sum, I suggested Wonde Harbor reasons for their delicious food and wonderful service. No push carts, write down how many items next to your selection . They remained true to my last experience. We each ordered a few dishes from the menu to share; soy sauce beef chow fun 4/5 Fried chives dumplings 5/5 Steamed chives dumplings 5/5 Fried smelt fish 5/5 Har gao 5/5 Shu mai 5/5 Shrimp Steamed Rice rolls 5/5 Fried shrimp almond balls 3/5 XLB xio long bao 5/5 Sesame balls 5/5 Pork char siu bao 5/5 Pomelo sago dessert 3/5 Mango pudding dessert 2/5 ”
“ The food was absolutely delicious and comforting. The environment was welcoming and cozy inside. Servers were very professional. I love the customer service. It was incredible. I love how in the middle of the table you could spin it around. The serving size are family size so everyone can eat and share. The tables fit a good amount of 10 people. I do recommend this place. ”
“ Pretty legit dim sum spot in terms of the food! Be warned that it does get crowded on weekends. We came early and just managed to nap a table in the back room. The service was abysmal, but I'm not sure I'd expect very much when the servers seemed to be incredibly overworked. The restaurant did not seem quite equipped to handle all of the tables in the backroom being filled. The servers were running back and forth to bring the sauces and get the tea out. That said, things are efficient here, once you get someone's attention (but that is also a challenge). You fill out the menu with your order, rather than looking at the carts. I actually prefer this way of ordering dim sum because it means that the food comes out hot and fresh! I think that my favorite dish was the po-sic dan-tat aka Portuguese egg tart. This version of the egg tart is a step up from the regular bring yellow cusdardy HK egg tart. The crust was pretty flaky and very hefty. Next favorite was the lava egg bun - the steamed bun exterior was delicate and fluffy and the egg lava flowed smoothly without being overly sweet. I love char sieu baos, and at this place, I preferred the baked char sieu bao to the steamed one. Although I would have preferred the baked char sieu bao to be a bit less sticky (make sure to use chopsticks before handling this). I also liked the bo-lo bao. I love that they have actual pineapple chunks in this, even though bo-lo baos aren't traditionally supposed to have pineapple (the pineapple name comes from the fact that it looks like a pineapple). That said, the pineapple chunks add an interesting texture and sweetness to the filling. I liked that they have char sieu sou. It's a bit small and the char sieu was a bit dry, but the flavor of this was good and the pastry wrap was very flaky. We usually don't order non-dim sum items during lunch, but we ordered the stir fried chao-fun. It was surprisingly good. They were generous with the meat and veggies. Very flavorful, and a very large portion size! Didn't quite have the "wok hey", but few places do (also did not try the Singapore Char-kuey-tiao, which is the real test of "wok hey") ”
“ I recently had the pleasure of attending a Yelp Elite event at Wonde Harbor Dimsum, and I was thoroughly impressed! The food and service were both top-notch. The beef and steak, along with the honey walnut shrimp, were absolute standouts for me. While I found the fried chicken a bit too dry for my liking, the overall quality of the food was fantastic. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and would be a perfect venue for a small wedding. It can comfortably accommodate around 150 guests. Just a heads-up: they're currently undergoing some construction in front, so it might be a little tricky to spot the entrance. The entryway is located on the left side of the building. Highly recommend checking out Wonde Harbor Dimsum! ”
“ Date of visit: multiple times & today 11/8/2024 *** 4.5 stars *** rounded up! Used to be Pearl Ocean. Imho the best dimsum, even compared to Lunasia. The only thing they need to fix is the skin of their Har Gow, and they're golden! Also, they need to bring back the almond milk with crispy pastry on top. Didn't see that item on the menu during the last 2 visits. ”
“ We came here for dim sum! I loved the the menu has picture of what you are ordering in the both English and Chinese. THANK YOU! The selection is huge. Everything seem to be freshly made and HOT. No waiting for a party of 5, parking was not bad, service was not bad especially when they are so busy, and after the food is ordered they come out pretty quickly. Items we tried: taro fried, black bean pork ribs in rice noodles, sesame balls, egg tarts, suimai, pineapple buns, pork and shrimp fried dumplings, taro cakes, chicken tail buns, and steamed cake. I think we got more, but my camera didn't make it out on some of the dishes. ”
